Hume City Council purchased Save-It-Easy^® inline T5 adaptors for installation throughout the council's gymnasium areas where they reduced power consumption and in some areas improved light levels.

The savings generated by this retrofit project was significant especially when one considers the magnetic ballast used in the council's existing fittings, may have consumed anywhere between 6-9 Watts per lamp. What was especially interesting was that until the council inspected the  fittings even the fittings which had no lamps were consuming power!

The Save-It-Easy^® inline T5 adaptor installation provided the excuse for a comprehensive review of council lighting and the gains experienced were provided for ecoBright^® to document.

Using 6W as the value of magnetic ballast consumption and assuming an overall additional circuit consumption of 2W once Save-It-Easy^® is installed then:

• Existing 58W T8 (5' long) magnetically ballasted lamps were replaced by

  Sylvania^® 35W T5 (5' long) electronic lamps retrofitted with Save-It-Easy^® resulted in a minimum saving of 27W or 42% !!

• Existing 36W T8 (4' long) magnetically ballasted lamps replaced by

  Sylvania^® 28W T5 (4' long) electronic lamps retrofitted with Save-It-Easy^® resulted in a minimum saving of 12W or 29% !!

These savings were achieved without the need to remove old fittings, without the mess and without the downtime associated with the installation of new fittings....just PLUG and SAVE with Save-It-Easy^®!!
