    What is the type and the properties of the material used?

      The material used is a multi-layer film made of a synthetic substrate that is coated with a catoptrical aluminium surface, through PVD (Physical Vapour Deposition) technology.

      A second protective transparent film covers the outer surface, making the reflector resistant to oxidation and scratching. Properties are listed below:

      Temperature resistance from -198°C to 130°C

      Flammability  UL94 VTM-2

      UL Listed material (USA Laboratories)
 

    What is the reflectance?

      The reflectance is 85% - similar to the more commonly used aluminium reflectors, but greater than the white iron material also commonly used.

    What is the respective Light Output Ratio (LOR)?

    • The LOR ranges between 85% and 95%; the benefit however is between 50-100% increased light output at the working plane due to the reflector's parabolic shape and optimum positioning in relation to the lamp.

    What are the benefits of ecoBright® RSK™ Reflectors compared to aluminium reflectors?

    • They are so much more cost effective!! They offer wide applicability for any luminaire type, anti-corrosion durability, easy handling due to their light weight (up to 50% lighter than aluminium reflectors) and flexibility without permanent deformation from accidental strains.

    • ecoBright® RSK™ Reflector material is not subject to irridescence due to light refraction caused by surface corrosion and therefore Colour Rendering index (CRI) is not affected.

    • The aesthetic result is also quite unique since a simple luminaire can be converted into an aesthetically pleasing high performance luminaire by simply sliding a fluorescent lamp into the reflector and fitting the new assembly back into the luminaire.

 

    Can the ecoBright® RSK™ Reflector be easily cleaned?

      Yes! The ecoBright® RSK™ Reflector must first be detached from the luminaire and fluorescent lamp. It can be cleaned using a soft cotton cloth or one made of electrostatic super volume fibres. 

      The entire reflector can be immersed in cool soapy water and then rinsed with clean cool water.
 

    What about flammability?

    • The  ecoBright® RSK™ Reflector does not come into contact with the luminaire's interior electrical components as it is always installed on the lamp which is always positioned outside the luminaire's switchgear.

    • However, the material they are manufactured from is UL listed according to UL94 VTM-2 and is heat resistant up to 130°C.
 

    What is the Warranty?

    • ecoBright® RSK™ Reflectors are warranted to be fit for purpose for a period of three (3) years from the date of purchase. Installations throughout Europe and other parts of the world have been in place for well over this warranty period.
